Kind of a day in Milano – Photos of Kris Ruhs’ studio by Bruce Weber
Galleria Carla Sozzani
Corso Como 10,  Milano
Until Sunday 8th April 2018

Chiara Callegari – Photobook selection at COTM bookshop: This exhibition gathers photographs shot by Bruce Weber in Kris Ruhs’ studio in Milan. Bruce first visited the studio in 2003 and then went back in 2011 and 2014. The photographs cement a decade-long relationship, portraying a  strong friendship between two great artists. The city of Milan sits in the background shrouded in a film noir atmosphere.

Prague City Gallery – House of Photography
Revoluční 5, Prague 1
Until 29th April 2018

Zuzana Pistekova – exhibition volunteer since 2015: This retrospective looks at the works Ambroz developed in the 1970s and 1980s, reacting to the Czech political and social situation at the time. I recommend this show because I think it is really interesting to see how the artists were responding to the political scenario with performance art, interventions in the public space and actions related to staged or conceptual photography.

Lucas Foglia – Human Nature
Foam Fotografiemuseum
Keizersgracht 609, Amsterdam
Until 15th April 2018

Laura Girasole – blog editor: I became aware of Lucas Foglia’s work at COTM 2016. I was struck by his aesthetics and by the originality of his approach to complex themes such as the constantly evolving relations between people and the landscape, as well as the impact of socio-economic changes. Human Nature delves further into this, it brings together stories about nature, people, government, and the science of our relationship to wilderness.
