Join the Cortona On The Move 2026 team!
Cortona On The Move is much more than an international photography festival: it’s a collective adventure made of passion, dedication, and energy. And from the very beginning, its true strength has been the volunteers.
Some of them, thanks to their talent, drive, curiosity, and commitment, have grown alongside the festival, becoming part of our team and establishing themselves in the world of photography.
Now it’s your turn: we’re looking for new energy for the 2026 edition!

Are you practical, great with people, full of energy, and love working in a team?
Perfect! We need you from July 1 to 20, 2026 to help manage a series of key activities for the festival.
What will your contribution involve?
In the days leading up to the opening (July 1 to 15), the team will be involved in operational and logistical tasks, including:
- Setting up the exhibitions
- Preparing the venues that will host events and exhibitions
- Assembling welcome bags, passes, and informational material for guests and staff
- Practical support for the organization to make sure everything is ready down to the smallest detail
During the opening days (July 16 to 19), we’ll be in the thick of it! We’ll be in charge of:
- Welcoming guests
- Managing talks, portfolio reviews, guided tours, and children’s activities
- Manual tasks (such as moving chairs and tables, handling books, organizing and cleaning spaces)
- Staffing the bookshop and information points
You’ll work in teams led by a coordinator, with the goal of making every moment of the festival smooth, warm, and memorable for all participants.
Requirements:
- Team spirit and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of English
- Practical skills and willingness to carry out physical tasks (cleaning, painting, assembling/disassembling, etc.)
You’ll be part of an incredible machine that, with grit and passion, brings a unique event to life.
You’ll have the opportunity to see up close how a festival is built, meet the people who make it happen, and engage with the guests of the 2026 edition.
Each volunteer will receive:
- A Staff Pass to access all exhibitions and events throughout the entire festival
- Meal vouchers/access to the canteen
- The exclusive Cortona On The Move T-shirt
- Reimbursement for accommodation expenses only if this is your second or subsequent experience as a Cortona On The Move volunteer
