“When I grow up, I want to be a girl”, Cora told her mother one night in 2014, before falling asleep. I met Cora when she was seven-years old, two autumns after having completed her social transition. The work of Gabo Caruso offers an intimate imprint and aims at giving an account of lesser-known experiences of childhood. It also reflects values such as autonomy, inclusion and responsible love.
Gabo Caruso (Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1985) lives and works in Barcelona. Photojournalist and visual communicator, she is interested in gender and feminist issues. Her projects are linked to human rights in favor of diversity.
