In the past thirty years, in Italy, the term “Padania” has become part of everyday life. It refers to an area in Northern Italy that extends from the Alps to the Adriatic Sea. It is a territory that exists in the ideas of many, but that geographically, culturally and juridically remains undefined. “Padanistan” is a project that digs into the identity of this “non place”, along SS11, the main national road that connects Torino to Venezia.
Tomaso Clavarino (Turin, Italy, 1986) is a photographer and director. His works are published by major international magazines. He also pursues many personal projects.
