No Memory is Ever Alone

“No Memory is Ever Alone” is a visual conversation between Catherine and her dad. She creates a trail of fond childhood memories by uniting her dad’s slides with how she lives today to create a place within a place, a memory within a memory. This project is a nostalgic yet comforting attempt to spark a sliver of recollection in the viewers’ minds through a glimpse at tiny fragments of her family’s life.

Catherine Panebianco (Kitimat, Canada, 1964) is an award-winning artist who, with her compelling work, consistently longs for a sense of place, catches hold of memories and chases the spirits of those we love.
