How has our landscape changed — and above all, how has our way of looking at it changed?
Peninsula, the original project created for Cortona On The Move, is an attempt to answer these questions. Ten artists from the contemporary scene are brought together in an ideal, restless mapping of the Italian peninsula.

Sacred ibises have been settling on various small islands in the Venice Lagoon for several years now. They gather near the garbage barges that depart from here for the waste disposal facilities. Once revered in ancient Egypt as the living embodiment of Thoth—the god of knowledge, writing, and cosmic order—the sacred ibis now seems to be reappearing in new environments, inhabiting landfills, abandoned islands, and anthropogenic ecosystems.
