In a display designed specifically for Cortona On The Move, the spaces of an old village bingo hall will host images by photographer Jason Fulford, taken in Italy over nearly ten years and drawn from some of his most important editorial projects—The Heart Is a Sandwich, Picture Summer on Kodak Film, Raising Frogs for $$$—along with some previously unpublished images.
Fulford’s works seem like open metaphors. The photographer recounts small details, encounters, and glimpses that, juxtaposed through a meticulous editing process—an integral part of his research—indicate the power of association in the search for new meanings and new stories.
