In collaboration with Accademia Etrusca di Cortona and MAEC

Fabrizio Vatieri
Gino Severini, extended version
Through a close-up examination of Gino Severini’s paintings and sculptures, the project explores the processes of constructing vision and memory within the MAEC (Museum of the Etruscan Academy and the City of Cortona). The loss of scale transforms the work into matter and detail into structure, revealing connections between pictorial surface, sculptural volume, museum architecture, and historical archive.
More than a biographical rereading of the artist, the work offers an atlas of relationships in which Severini’s research on the construction of the image engages with the structures that enable its vision today.
