The facade of Palazzo Mancini Sernini was designed by Battista Sensi ‘Cristofanello’, a Cortonese architect who died in 1554, commissioned by Laparelli, a powerful local family. Palazzo Mancini Sernini became the headquarters of the Banca Popolare di Cortona bank in 1926, which also owns the building. The ground floor cellars were recently restored by the bank and in 2016 they became a new exhibition location for Cortona On The Move photography festival.
