A WORKSHOP – Atelier Smedsby, One Year Web Based Workshop

There’s just a few days left to apply to Atelier Smedsby’s web based photography workshop, run by JH Engstrom and Margot Wallard. The workshop is a one-year distance learning class incorporating Skype meetings and three individual/group meetings in Paris. The workshop objectives include: learning to identify the participant’s visual language, to help develop, realize and finalize the participant’s project, and to learn to critique photographic work.

A CALL FOR ENTRIES – New Visions

Cortona On The Move continues its partnership with LensCulture to seek strong and original documentary work from all over the world, to follow up closely the ever-changing language of photography. Among all the submissions, three projects will be awarded a solo show at Cortona On The Move 2018.

A PHOTOBOOK – “The Last Testament”, by Jonas Bendiksen

In 2014, Magnum photographer Jonas Bendiksen embarked upon a project, “The Last Testament”, to chronicle seven men who publicly claim to be the biblical Messiah. The project explores the lives and rituals of the Messiahs and their disciples through photography, interviews, scripture and historical material. “The Last Testament”, co-published by Aperture / GOST, explores who these individuals are, who the biblical Messiah was and what people wish him to be in the flesh.
